Barbeque Day

Today, the weather was freaking hot. Annoyed? Excited? Nervous? Which feeling should describe me at that time. Our computer lecturer has held activities. The aim of these activities are not only help us to get the marks for our subject, but also make us closer at one each other. These activities had involved 3 groups, life science, physical science and IT students. ‘knock, knock, knock ..’, my friend, Boyke had come. It’s the time to go computer lab. When we reach the computer lab, there are less people, because most of them are ‘’workers’’ of this activities. Thus, after lecturer gave us homework, he let us back to hostel.
There are left 1 hour more to go to the activities. The first activities are treasure hunt, we all gather at library.  After that,  we had our own group and it was START. We were heading for our first station. And one of my friends just finish his class, so he follow us because he is too free. First station was one person acting and the others guessing what it is. We lose, so we have to wait few more minutes only can left. Before we left, we get a things from the ‘worker’. We have to collect 5 things from each station only consider finish the whole treasure hunt. After 5 station, we let the ‘pengadil’ count the mark and let the pelajar islam go pray first.
Next, we had 2 groups which 1 group go play futsal while another 1 group play kayak. and I am the group which play kayak. Then, our lecturer is coming to observe us. After that, we take picture as our memories.
Night, we had barbeque together at block FITM. There, everyone was enjoying themselves, chatting at each other, busy to prepare the food, and so on. Whatever, it was a great day for me. I Ate 5 ice-cream by my self. Actually, I didn’t do much work because I lazy to do it…all the work is did by my friend. My job is to eat and enjoyed the Barbeque Party…

SELANGOR BUILDING IN 2020

These are a pretty novel idea; rather than using up ground-space to build parks, build huge towers and build them on top of those. They were designed with places like Tokyo in mind, where they don’t have the land to rip down buildings for a park or a greenbelt. The towers would feature grass, fountains, benches… everything you could want in a park, except for that non-terror inducing “being at ground level” thing that usual parks have. To be honest, I don’t think I will be playing catch 10 stories off the ground, I would most likely lay spread eagle in the grass, praying a strong gust of wind doesn’t dash my body on the streets below. Also keep in mind that these were built with Tokyo in mind, a giant city in a country notorious for earthquakes.
On the other hand, the towers are also meant to provide shade and collect rainwater, so they aren’t all terror-games and terrified tourists. Time will tell if this or any of the other bear fruit, but the world will be a cooler place if they do.

SELANGOR INNOVATION CENTRE IN 2020
Here’s what they want to do with this thing, in no particular order:

• two five-star hotels

• performing arts centre
• retail complex
• two office towers
• residential properties
• convention centre
• observatory tower
• parking space
• monorail transportation
• public arena

that is ambitious to say the least. The entire thing is designed to cover 860 square kilometers (534 square miles), which has managed to piss off a large number of locals. Unfortunately, the folks in charge of the project were “undemocratic” in their decision making process, so the angry public blocked their efforts to get started. As for now, nothing has been started, but there is some back and forth going on, with the people who want to build it being a bit more forthcoming with their information about what is going on, and a media blackout against those who oppose it. In the end, let’s hope that if they do manage to build it, no one gets hurt and everyone benefits. (Sparkles and sunshine for everyone!)

My Story

A legend was born on the fifteen day in the month of March, at Hospital Besar Kuala Lumpur, at 3.30a.m on the year of the rooster, 1993. The legend name was UGESWRAN THAMALINGGAM. I'm the forth child in the family of 4 children that consist of 2 male and 2 sister and I’m the younger one. I have my  lovely and caring parents. When i'm one year old, my parents celebrate my 1st birthday grandly at the home, my relatives buy for me so much gifts, which mostly is toys. Then, at the 1st time I cut my birthday cake with help of my father. This all I heard from my parents told me the story when I was young. Sometimes, they make laugh of me when they talk about me what I do at small time.  Sometimes, I see my pictures when I’m a small boy, and it makes me laugh n giggle.  I so cannot believe that what I did at small time.
The foremost important picture of my early childhood that still exist till now in my sub-conscious mind is how one day my parents brought me to beach when i was four years old. As im too young, my  father was holding my hands the whole time because he cares about my safety. The second picture of my early childhood history, that somehow still influences me, sometime, that happen during one of the many festival that we have to celebrate according to our custom, as my custom when Deepavali, my father used to bath me with oil in the morning of the deepavali day. He used to massage my body and my head. Then we will wear our new clothes and go to Temple to pray and have blessings from God for the new start. At night usually all my cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews all will gather at my house when dawn for the feast and play fireworks.

I live in a house consisting of a large square room. My father and mother takes a good care of the house. It was completely covered with green plants and many others . It was the favorite haunt of humming-birds and bees. I still remember that I have asked the meaning of love to my mom while showering the plants. My mom gives an extra explanation for my question. She said Love isn't blind or dumb  in fact it sees far more than it will ever tell. It is going beyond yourself and stretching who you are for someone else. Being in love entails seeing someone as you wish they were to

love them is to see who they really are and still care for them. Love isn't bitter, but you can't have love without pain sacrifice is the sign of love, the coin of love.
The school days are crammed with facts and figures, encompassing various subjects ranging from English to Mathematics. All of these require students to learn, memories, understand and to be tested. Besides grades and examinations, the school also involve a wider curriculum including character molding, citizenship building and personality development. Indeed, I think the school does prepare us for life. The few picture that still live quite strong in my mind till now is when I go back to my Grandmother's house my cousins and me used to go to my Grandmother's orchard. In the orchard we used to eat the fruits which consist durian, mangoes, banana, papaya and many more. Sometimes, we will stay up at the orchards, small shelter to wait the fruits to fall down. There is a small river flows through my grandmothers orchard. My cousins and me used to took bath at the river. The river water was crystal clear. We used to catch fishes in that river. It was a golden memories that I cannot forget for my rest of life. Then we used to play marble and many traditional games, unfortunately i could not remember all the games name.

WHEN I STUDY PRIMARY SCHOOL

In the month of January, 2000, as everybody celebrates Millennium. I was registering my 1st day at school, which is Sekolah Kebangsaan Sinaran Budi at Rawang, Selangor.  It is the year when I started my schooling days at a small primary school which was built in 80's. This school consists of 80 rooms. 76 rooms for classroom and another four rooms for the teachers and with a beautiful garden. It was a beautiful and top ranking school I haven’t heard. During my time at the primary school, I begin to have new relationship with my new friends. My 1st class was 1Pintar, and my class teacher Puan Norzila elect me as monitor for the class. I was proud of my self. I make alot of friends during primary school. I travel to school by bus, the bus driver name was Raja. When im standard one my school session was in the afternoon. It was a new experience for me as I wore the school uniform with a blue colour tie.
When I was standard six, I was a school level chess  player. I so will play badminton with my school friends at a hall called paris Hall. At standard six also I was elected as the leader of my sport house team, which is Tun Abdul Razak with a red color flag. In that year 2005, I particpated many events in the yearly sports event. In that same year also i sat for my UPSR exam. At first, I was nervous bout that exam. As for the first time I sat for my public exam. The first day of the exam i was damn terribly nervous, when i sat in the hall and waiting for my Bahasa Melayu paper. The exam lasted for a week. After that, week we enjoyed terriblely  even a monkey in a forest also lose, if competed with me.
WHEN I STUDY SECONDARY SCHOOL

In the year 2009, i was in form four. For the 1st week they had a orientation for us to choose what stream to study. Most of my friends choose science stream as i do. But some of them choose accounts. Even though, we are separated by different classes. We will hang around when recess at the same place. After my birthday pass. I took my motorcycle license. Then my father ask  me to use his old motorcycle, which is Honda C-70. Later on i stop my bus transportation and start taking motorbike to school. Ussualy, i will go to school with other friends which has motorbike. At the second week, after i took my license. I got my first summon due to not fastened the safety helmet. I saw money to pay the summon without my parents awknoldgement. It was a new experience for me and its also a lesson for me to fastened the safety helmet.
Time runs faster, and its 2010. The most important year in my life as I will seat for my important exam SPM (Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia). This exam will determine my life path for the future and my carreer. That year was a year full of drama, struggle, tension, and fun. As a form five student, I was active in sports and co-curricular activities that the school arganise. I lost a friend due to a road accident at that year. After that SPM was just around the corner. My mind get tensed up. I was studying like hell. Just before SPM start I pray to God to give blessings for me and I start the exam. The exam last for a month. And it ends in December 2010. After three months, I get my Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) result. My result is not so good. Even though I get 2A’s only but my parents still appreciate my result. I feel happy too. I have applied for foundation in Science at University Selangor. My application was accepted by the University. I remember being really excited and quite nervous on registration day. I was worried that I wouldn’t make any new friends or that the others wouldn’t like me! Yeah, I do worry over stuff like that. I was comforted by the thought that at least some of my old school friends would be going there too although they’re doing different courses.

Well, all my worries were for nothing. I did make friends with wonderful people who have helped me a lot and we’re still friends now. I also met so many new faces during orientation day that I couldn’t remember all their names. But as time went by, I’m getting to know them one by one. The seniors were really friendly and may helpful too. Indeed, they were so kind and nice. Why were they being so nice? Why go through so much trouble in guiding us newbie’s? But then, they really were genuine and sincerely wanted us to feel at home in university. I hope so.
After 2 weeks, lecturer given assignment to do at the beginning of the semester. I’m so lucky because only need to write a minimum of 5 pages. Usually, have to write around 10 to 15 pages for one assignment but the lazy me always writes the minimum number of pages.
